While we stayed at several other hotels, including the Savoy in Florence, it is La Calcina we will remember the most fondly. Your hotel was lovely, quiet and full of amenities Americans visitor appreciate : great air conditioning and well appointed rooms. Our best memories of my husband’s 50 th birthday were created on our balcony with a bottle of local wine and a beautiful breeze off the canal. Your restaurant and staff were delightful always. It is like stepping into another era of time here . The hours spent on the terrace and the views will stay with me forever!! How I wish to return !
